About Me
Welcome to my about me page!My name is Kylie Jones, and I'm thrilled to share a bit about myself with you!Currently, in my third year, I'm majoring in Public Health Policy with minors in Asian Studies and Biology at UCI. Throughout my time here, I've been deeply involved in student advocacy, gaining valuable experience in governance and prioritizing policies that support student well-being. Ensuring every student feels heard and supported is my passion, reflecting the care I've received from our UCI community.Guided by a belief in reciprocity, my involvement with ASUCI and UCSA is rooted in improving accessibility, affordability, and the overall quality of the UC system. I'm dedicated to providing support and opportunities for students to thrive both academically and personally.Outside of my academic and advocacy work, I'm a long-time practitioner of Kung Fu/Wushu and I am currently one of the coaches for the Wushu Club at UCI. I also enjoy reading, listening to music, and photography, finding joy in creating video collages, and spending quality time with friends. In terms of academics, my interests lie in public health policy, epidemiology, and emergency management. Through my studies, I've learned the importance of advocating for equity beyond academia, ensuring everyone has access to resources for optimal health. This belief drives my commitment to advancing health equity initiatives, vital for our community's well-being.Whether I'm practicing martial arts or diving into public health policy, my ultimate goal is to make a meaningful difference in the world. I believe that promoting equity, particularly health equity, is essential for our community's well-being and prosperity. As a potential EVP, I'll prioritize accessibility, accountability, and advocacy, ensuring that every student's voice is heard and reflected in our initiatives and decisions. Together, we can create a more inclusive and empowered community where all individuals have the resources and opportunities to not only survive but thrive.*All titles and organization names are for identification purposes only
